You Are What You Eat

I was bored to the bone =_=
It's only been 3 days since I've been here. Home.
Jakarta, Indonesia.
Metropolitan, cosmopolitan city. Blargh. Who am I kidding..
I admit I got a bit cranky these days.
I haven't been accustomed to the slower motion of people here.
Kinda miss quick paces in Singapore where everything and everyone
seems move toward wherever they are going quickly.

Okay so now I'm in my mom's office
(Indonesian Stock Exchange Building, right opposite Pasific Place Mall)
To cut the story short, I've been staring at my bb helplessly.
Wtf, I was in 30th story here AND I got no signal?? (see, cranky. LOL)

Didn't know what else to do, I plugged my bb to the laptop.
Surprised by how many pictures of FOOD I've taken in 2 short months.
These are foods I frequently eaten at Singapore.

Main Course

I love ramen.
I lovelovelovelove just love ramen. LOL

Tampopo Ramen at 313 on Somerset ( Original Kyushu Ramen + sgd15)
Located on the ground floor right next to Cold Storage Specialty
The soup is so.. porky. The place also nice and quite cozy.

This Ramen also came from Tampopo Ramen on 313.
(forgot the ramen name)
Edwin ordered it. He loves anything fried. Just like Nana does. LOL

The most famous ramen in Japan, Santouka.
Forgot the name of the ramen but not the price. LOL
It's sgd25.
Located in Clarke Quay Central, second floor if I'm not mistaken.
The char siew was super sinful. Full of cholesterol.
I enjoyed every bite of it.
The soup and tamago (boiled egg) is very tasty.
But for the ramen itself, I still like Marutama's more.
(ahh.. I don't have Marutama's picture on my bb T.T)

This is Katsu Curry Don (sgd5 or 6) from Sumo House, Clementi.
I think it's the cheapest Japanese restaurant ever.
Actually I prefer Chicken Teriyaki Don.
This one is Nana's favorite. She never missed to order this one. LOL

Wait! Don't get me wrong here.
I also LOVE western food.

Appetizer
Mushroom Soup (sgd4) from Astons Specialty.
Located on the 3rd or 4th story of The Cathay n Dhobby Ghaut.
Came with crunchy garlic breads. Yumm.

Main Course
Chargrill Chicken. Side dish : onion rings and mashed potato (sgd6)
Also came from Astons Specialty.
(I never missed out eating here when watching movies at The Cathay)
This is the cheapest western food I ever know (in Singapore of course)
The taste is so worth the price. You won't regret eating here.
Especially for students with limited allowance. Like us. LOL

Errr, I can't remember the name of this pizza,
but it surely came from RITE PIZZA.
The girls and I often order it on rainy days,
when we were too lazy to go outside, when we had special occasion,
actually, whenever we feel like it :D
Oh yeah, I forgot. It's very cheap.
You got 2 pizzas by paying sgd23 for the medium.

KFC Snackers : Pop Corn Chicken with cheese from Popeye's
Comes in small packages, NOT healthy, but yes, keep ourselves full.
I remember enjoying this snacks while studying for, something.
Yes, back then it was exam period.

Besides those delicious YET unhealthy food above,
we often cooked. Not we. Some of us.
Nevertheless, we always eat together, don't we? :P

Capcay, meat soup, fuyung hai, fried luncheon pork.
Created by Stanley and Elsa.
I contributed the meat and the fried luncheon pork.

Aglio Olio with paprika, boursin, and cheese.
Roasted mushroom with boursin.
This was Kelyn's. She got the idea of cooking aglio olio since months ago.
But due to exam.. =_= yeaaa you know, we had to study blablabla..

Chicken steak with English sauce, capcay, cheese tofu and meat soup.
Once again cooked by Stanley and Elsa.
All I can say is..
"KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!" lol

Seafood at Pulau Ubin
(from bottom left : lemon chicken for Edwin who dislike seafood,
prawn with oatmeal, spicy fried squid, cah kangkung =))
I especially loved the oatmeal prawn. nice..

THE ULTIMATE DESSERT
I don't know exactly what's happening between woman and dessert.
We're just soooo into it. LOL

Frolick.
I usually buy those in Cathay Cineplex or the one in Holland Village.
Love these three toppings : strawberry, kiwi, and oreo.
Oo I just can't stay away from oreoo..!

Max Brenner's desserts are always the best!
This one called : SUCKAO.
An ordinary hot chocolate drinks.
What makes it extraordinary is, it's DIY.
You mixed the chocolate buttons little by little to the slowly heated milk.

Intense double choco fudge cake :)
I don't have to explain how nice it is.
Just see yourself :P better TASTE it yourself! LOL

I Belong to The Youth

SO! I don't know where to start. But I certainly could say that THIS is not the end. God is not done yet. In fact, earlier today I was discussing things with Ijah and we both agreed on something : we are on an accelerated roller coaster ride. Faster than ever! Higher than we ever been before! There are milestones in life. Like moments when you graduated uni, or when your PR is approved. When you moved overseas or going back for good. Moments that marked a change in the season of life. But there are other kinds of moments : intangible, but leaving marks so deep your brain might let go but your soul never will. And last week was THAT kind of moments. A series of events that, combined together, was just.. Well. I couldn't find A WORD to describe it best. But I would try my best to re-tell the story. Here goes. (Beware. It's gonna be long) I was considering a one day leave, a half-day plus another half-day, or simply a 2 days leave to attend Empowered21. If you...

The Boy Who Showed Me My WHY

So last week, the entire school left Redding for ministry trip around the States. I went to Phoenix for 8 days and came home to school with tons of testimonies of healing, people set free, delivered, and experiencing the love of the Father in the most tangible way. But here’s my personal take on the trip to Phoenix, AZ. I met a boy and this divine appointment marked my life forever. I told God (and my team mates), if the reason of my entire trip, all the whirlwind of fund raising and preparations, was just for this one moment with this boy, I would do it all over again.  So on an evening, I was told that I would go to minister to kids in a home church the next day. (On prerequisite of being in the trip with Bethel people is a heart that is always ready with a smiley YES to whatever comes next. HAHAH. So many last minute change, you could be blindsided by the suddenness of if. Or you can take it as an invitation to lean on the Holy Spirit leading. It’s nerve-wrecking for a bit, but ...

When God Made a Promise

“I know this is too fast. And please don’t ask me why, because I don’t have the answer. I don’t know why.” “I won’t ask you why. Because I know.. It’s God.”   Wkwkwkwkwwkwkwkwkww duh supershy padahal biasanya ga tau malu. I’m still getting used to this. But those who viewed our IG feed and saw the pic posted in FB would know what this is all about. The Promise of God. It’s been there, mentioned the wholeee time in my earlier posts, yet unnamed. I’ll try to recall the whole story. Some details would be lost in translation because there are wayyyy TOO MANY. Haha. Fyi. I’VE BEEN WAITING SOOO LOOOONG TO SHOUT THIS OUT LOUD. So, here goes. Last Sunday, R asked me out to dinner. A few days before, he’s mentioned this fancy place and I calmly (I think) said, “Yes, yes why not” while inside I was [insert screaming emoji here] knowing that this is not a normal dining experience. OMG. I was so glad it’s through a text message, otherwise he would see ...
